Title: Cheer on!
Chapter: 6/?
Pairings: hinted Nick/Casimiro
Summary: Elisabeth decides that it's the right time to face her fears, and she joins the Cheerios.
Song/s: Lady GaGa - Americano
A/N: Phew, I thought this would never be finished... I hope chapter 7 will be finished faster, but I'm not sure, since I'm going to England and stuff, then I'll go back to school...
Thursday came fast. It was a good thing actually, because after thursday came Friday and then the weekend. And Casimiro, Nick and Elisabeth had planned to go see a movie called "All day, every day". Elisabeth had no idea what it was about, but apparently Casimiro had read a few reviews that had given the movie 4 of 5 stars. So guess it was good.
Some cheerleaders walked by Elisabeth when she was waiting for Casimiro at the school yard. She stared longingly after them. No matter what had happened back then, she still missed wearing a cheerleader uniform. It had made Elisabeth feel like she actually was a part of something, like she was a part of glee. Elisabeth was tempted to go to Quinn Hudson and ask her if there was an open place for her. But she never did, because she was still afraid. What if they would put her on top of the pyramid and she'd fall again? Though Quinn had said that if Elisabeth joined, she wouldn't have to be on top if she didn't want to.
"What are you thinking?" Elisabeth was startled at the sudden question asked by Casimiro, who had appeared behind her with his boyfriend Nick and friend Chase. "Nothing, just a bit nervous of the sectionals", she quickly made up and Casimiro raised an eyebrow. "But there's still a few weeks to go", he said. "Now tell us, what is wrong?" Elisabeth sighed. Guess she had no other choice. "As you know, I was a cheerleader at my old school in New York. I loved it- but then I fell from on top of the pyramid. But now I miss being a cheerleader", she explained. Chase patted her shoulder and said: "You know, you shouldn't let your fears hold you down, girl! You only live once, so take this chance!" Casimiro and Nick nodded in agreement and Elisabeth smiled. "Thanks, Chase. Maybe I'll go talk to mrs Hudson."
And she did. "So, are you sure you want to join Cheerios?" Quinn asked, not believing what she had heard. Elisabeth nodded, trying to look just as sure as only possible. "When can I audition?" she asked and Quinn laughed. "No, no auditions. I know you are a very good cheerleader, as I've seen you doing it." Elisabeth's face brightened and she almost jumped up. "Thanks, Quinn! You're the best", she said and moved over to hug the other. "You're welcome. It's a very good thing that you're ready to face what you've been afraid of, Elis. I'm proud of you."
Later at glee club, just as expected, Evelyn had something to say about Elisabeth joining Cheerios. "How come did mrs Hudson take you in without an audition? Because I'm pretty sure you suck", she said with a mean grin on her face. "Well, I was the captain of cheerleaders in my old school, so I don't think I suck that badly", Elisabeth stroke back, and this time Evelyn was speechless, but looked very, very pissed. Elisabeth smiled and went to sit in between of Lorraine and Casimiro. "So, who's turn is it today?" asked mr Evans when he walked into the class. A girl with short dark hair raised her hand. "Mine." The girl, Eva Foster was her name, stood up and walked in front of the class. "I have some Spanish blood in me, so decided to sing Americano by Lady Gaga." Mr Evan smiled and nodded. The music started playing and Eva sang: "I met a girl in East LA, in floral shorts - as sweet as May... She sang in eights in two Barrio chords. We fell in love, but not in court..." There was a little pause. And then. "La-la-la-la-la-la! La-la-la-la-la-la! La-la-la-la-la-la! La-la-la-la-la-la! La-la-la-la-la-la!" Wow, Elisabeth thought. Wow. "I don't s- I don't s- Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, America, Americano! Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, America, Americano! Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, America, Americano! Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, America, Americano!" Eva was even dancing, and Elisabeth was amazed how good she could sing at the same time when she was moving so fast. "Mis canciones son de la revolución. Mi corazón me duele por mi generación", Eva sang. "If you love me, we can marry on the West Coast, on a Wednesday, en un verano, en agosto..." The song was quite old- but freaking catchy. Elisabeth remembered how she used to love it when she was a little child. "I don't speak your, I don't speak your language oh no (La-la-la-la-la-la)I don't speak your, I won't speak your Jesus Christo (La-la-la-la-la-la)!" The other club members started singing along, because who could resist? "Ahhhhh America Americano, ahhhhh America Americano, ahhhhh America Americano, ahhhhh America Americano!" The outro of the song was by far Elisabeth's favourite part of the whole song. "Don't you try and catch me, don't you try and catch me, no! No! No! No! I'm living on the edge of, living on the edge of the law, law, law, law!" The club cheered and mr Evans clapped his hands and laughed. "Wow, Eva! That was great! But now, back to work- we still have to practice our number for sectionals!"
Elisabeth sighed as she climbed into Kurt's car after school. "So, anything happened today?" Kurt asked and smiled at his adoptive daughter. "Well, actually yes. I decided to join Cheerios", Elisabeth answered and Kurt's mouth fell open in surprise. "Really? That's great!" Elisabeth laughed, but in her mind she thought: I hope I won't have to regret it. "Oh, and what's up with you? You seem extraordinary happy today", Elisabeth said, looking at Kurt. "I got a job as a waiter. Now I don't have to just stay at home", he said. Elisabeth smiled, but she knew that Kurt really missed Broadway and she really hoped that someday they would be able to move back to New York.

A/N/D chapter 5: Nothing In Common
Title: Nothing in common
Chapter: 5/?
Pairings: Implied Nickimiro (Nick/Casimiro) and hinted(!) Alex/Elisabeth
Summary: It's finally Elisabeth's time to sing in glee club! And Alex leaves her confused.
Song/s: Laura Pausini - Tra Te E Il Mare and Christopher - Nothing In Common
A/N: NOT BETAED... sorry :D and it can be boring..
It was finally Monday. Elisabeth had the feeling that the chemistry test wouldn't go well, even though it wasn't a big test and it was about the things that they had been going through on Thursday. And today she'd perform the Italian song she had picked. Wish me luck, Elisabeth thought to herself as she walked in the chemistry classroom.
When the test was over, Elisabeth was pleased. It hadn't been so difficult after all. She had remembered almost everything, which was a surprise, because chemistry wasn't the easiest subject for her. Elisabeth smiled as she was walking towards the next classroom. Maybe today would be a good day? "Are you excited?" Someone had appeared next to her. It was Casimiro. "About what?" Elisabeth asked. "Your performance", Casimiro replied. Elisabeth shrugged. "I don't know. A bit, maybe. And it's because of Evelyn", she said. "For some reason, she has just won't stop picking on me." Casimiro sighed with empathy. "She's always like that when someone better than her comes around", he told. "With girls mostly." Elisabeth huffed. "And here I thought it was because I was Italian!" In a way, Elisabeth understood Evelyn, but on other hand she really didn't.
"Want to go eat lunch with me and Nick?" Casimiro asked when the class was over. Elisabeth nodded. "Sure." Casimiro and Nick were both nice, and Elisabeth wanted to get to know them better. Like she wanted to get to know the others from glee club. "How was your class?" Nick, who had at some point appeared next to Casimiro, asked them and pulled Casimiro into a hug. The shorter boy hugged him back and replied: "Good. A little boring without you, though." Nick laughed and Elisabeth smiled. She believed that Casimiro and Nick were made for each other, like she believed that she and him were. That him was her crush back in NYC, and even though they had never been together, Elisabeth knew that the feeling was mutual. She had promised herself that when she's done in WMHS, she'd go back to New York and meet him again. And most of all, Elisabeth shouldn't fall in love with anyone else.
"So, what song are you going to sing in glee club?" Casimiro asked while they were eating lunch in the cafeteria. "Tra Te E Il Mare by Laura Pausini. Thank God I took Italian classes in New York", Elisabeth answered. That was the best Italian song she could find in such a short amount of time. "Great", Casimiro said. "When I was little, my cousins listened to that song all the time." The song was old, released in 2005, but it was still good. "Good luck then", Nick said and smiled. "I bet they're going to love it." Expect for Evelyn, Elisabeth thought. Oh God.
It was finally glee club time. Elisabeth slowly walked into the classroom and sat between Casimiro and Alex. She didn't see Evelyn anywhere, and she already hoped that the girl wouldn't come at all. But just right then Evelyn walked inside and shot a smug smile at Elisabeth, who knew what it meant. I think I'm better than you, Italian girl. Elisabeth glared at her. Then Mr. Evans came and greeted them. "So, Elisabeth, I heard you had a song for today", he said and Elisabeth stood up. She walked in front of the class. "Yes. I'll sing Tra Te E Il Mare." Then she gave the pianist a sign to start playing. "Non ho più paura di te. Tutta la mia vita sei tu, vivo di respiri che lasci qui, Che consumo mentre sei via", Elisabeth sang. "Non posso più dividermi tra te e il mare. Non posso più restare ferma ad aspettare." Many of the clubbers seemed to know the song, since they were humming to it. "Io che avrei vissuto da te, Nella tua straniera città, Sola, con l'istinto di chi sa amare. Sola, ma pur sempre con te." She was careful with the pronouncing, because she didn't want Evelyn to pick up on her because of that. "No, amore no, Io non ci sto. O ritorni o resti lì. Non vivo più, Non sogno più." Elisabeth saw Evelyn's face and it was full of disapproval. She tried not to care about it, because others seemed to enjoy her singing. "Non posso più dividermi tra te e il mare. Non posso più restare ferma ad aspettare. Non posso più dividermi tra te e il mare...", she ended the song and the clubbers clapped their hands. Only Evelyn didn't. "You make me wish I could speak Italian", Alex said and smiled at her. Elisabeth felt like she was blushing at the comment. "Thanks", she said with soft laugh. "Good, Elisabeth! Hey Alex, you wanted to sing something?" Mr. Evans spoke. Elisabeth went back to sit next to Casimiro and Alex stood up. "Yeah. It has nothing to do with the week assignment, so sorry about it. But the song is awesome", he spoke and Mr. Evans smiled. The band started to play. "You might say no to me, but to me a no is so indifferently. I drag along your way, it's your way I'm hanging in so desperately", Alex sang. "I beg you please to start believe that it's way too soon to change your way." In chorus all the boys in the club joined him. "You can feel that our love is fading out, out of touch, oh, and you say we’ve got nothing in common! You're so crazy, I'm sane. You got heart, I got brains, and there's nothing that we have in common at all! Oh, oh, oh, nothing in common." Elisabeth didn't know the song, but it was indeed awesome. And she liked Alex's voice a lot! Alex walked in front of her, looking like he was begging and sang: "And all of my money I spend it on you, and all my love I gave it to you. My angel, my boo, the things you do! If only you can tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me!" Elisabeth blushed at all the attention. She was kind of confused. Alex was cute... But Elisabeth had promised. For Elisabeth's relief, Alex moved away to sing the last chorus. When he ended, everyone in the room were smiling and clapping. But Elisabeth was confused.

New Direction, chapter 4: The Mall
Title: A
New Direction
Chapter:
4/?
Pairings:
A surprise pairing!
Summary: Elisabeth
had planned on spending Saturday studying chemistry and rehearsing a song for
glee club, but her plans get changed.
Song/s: none
A/N: FINALLY DONE...!
Elisabeth
was lying on her bed and studying chemistry. Nothing in the world was as boring
as that. But she didn’t want to fail the test. Kurt, Carole and Burt were
visiting Finn’s and Quinn’s place and after that they’d go to theatre. So
Elisabeth would be alone for a while. Her thoughts trailed away from chemistry
and then suddenly her cellphone rang. She reached for the phone and then
answered. “Elisabeth”, she said and waited for an answer. “Hi! It’s me, Casimiro.” Elisabeth’s eyes widened. “Can you
come to the mall?” Elisabeth smiled. Her plans had just been changed. “Of
course! See you in a little while!”
The mall
wasn’t big, unlike the ones in New York. So it was a little bit easier to find
someone. Elisabeth looked around and saw Casimiro sitting on a bench. She
walked quickly to him and said: “Hi! Did you have to wait for long?” The boy
shook his head. “No. Actually I just came. So where do you want to go first?”
he asked and Elisabeth though for a minute. “H&M, if it’s okay for you”,
she said. “Yeah, it’s fine”, Casimiro said and stood up. “So let’s go.”
There was
so many clothes that Elisabeth wanted to try on. How could someone ever decide
between a beautiful floral dress and a classy light brown shirt? She decided to
go and ask Casimiro’s opinion. The boy seemed to know at least something about
fashion. In the boy’s section, Casimiro was having similar problems as
Elisabeth. He had red skin tight jeans in one hand and black, baggier jeans in
the other hand. Elisabeth walked closer. “Casimiro, which one should I pick?
This dress or this shirt?” she asked. Casimiro turned around and eyed the
clothes for a while. He pointed at the shirt. “That one is simple but classy,
and it might fit you better.” Elisabeth smiled. Casimiro had sense in fashion!
Then the Latino showed Elisabeth the clothes he had. “I can’t decide. I think
skin tight jeans are more my style, but these are cool too”, Casimiro said. Before
Elisabeth could answer, someone spoke behind her: “I agree with you, Casimiro. Skin
tight jeans fit you very well.” Casimiro blushed and Elisabeth turned around
and saw a tall boy- well, he was tall when compared to Casimiro and Elisabeth.
“Nick, why are you here?” Casimiro asked and looked at the boy- Nick. Elisabeth
was sure she had heard the name somewhere before. “Why shouldn’t I? Even if
H&M don’t have that kind of clothes I have… But yeah, I knew you were here
and I wanted to see you”, Nick said and the shorter boy was silent for a
moment. “Why did you want to see me?” he asked and Nick chuckled. “I just
missed my boyfriend, that’s all.” Elisabeth was a little surprised. Nick was
Casimiro’s… Boyfriend? Not that it was a bad thing, not at all. It was just…
Elisabeth hadn’t expected it. “You could’ve called me. And by the way, you were
over yesterday”, Casimiro spoke, and he sounded a little bit annoyed. “Are you
still mad?” the taller boy asked. “Don’t be. Didn’t I already say I’m sorry?”
Elisabeth felt a little bit confused. Why was Casimiro mad? Not like it was her
business, but she wanted to know. Casimiro sighed. “Yeah, yeah. But I don’t
like it when we have planned something nice and then you just call it off.”
Nick smiled. “But I will make it up to you.” Then he turned to Elisabeth. “Nice
to meet you! Are you Elisabeth, Casimiro’s new friend? I’m Nick Perry”, he said
and. “Nice to meet you, too, Nick.” Nick laughed a little and said: “Now
Casimiro, you will go buy those red jeans and Elisabeth buys that shirt. Then
we can go get smoothies.”
“Casimiro
likes the one with mango”, Nick told Elisabeth when the three were waiting in
the line in the café. “We sometimes drink one together, but usually he wants it
all to himself.” Casimiro shoved him gently, but couldn’t help but smile.
Elisabeth chuckled. The boys seemed to be happy. “So how long have you two been
together?” she asked. Well, she was curious. “Almost two years”, Nick replied.
“Our anniversary is on Valentine’s day.” Elisabeth smiled. “That’s super
romantic!” She noticed that Casimiro blushed, so she ruffled his hair. “But now
I think that we should order”, Elisabeth said as she realized that it was their
turn.
“So, you’re
from New York. What is it like to live in there?” Nick asked as they were
sitting on a table. Elisabeth smiled and answered: “Nice, but it’s very busy
there. You have to be very careful when you are walking around in the city.”
Nick nodded and spoke: “I and Casimiro are dreaming of living in Los Angeles. I’d
be a fashion designer and he’d be an actor.” Casimiro had a dreaming expression
on his face and Elisabeth was sure he’d do anything for his dream. “I want to
be a pop singer”, she said. “Everyone is expecting for me to go to Broadway,
like Kurt. But that’s not really my scene.” Casimiro looked at her and said: “You
have a voice of a pop star.” Elisabeth chuckled and smiled shyly. That was what
everyone told her. Then she looked at the clock and said: “I have to go now. I
should be rehearsing my song for the glee’s week assignment.”
Elisabeth
was tired. She had rehearsed the song over and over again. And she had to study
some chemistry too. The girl yawned and picked up her chemistry book from the
floor and opened it. But before she knew, she had fallen asleep on the bed.

Boring, I know :D But I was running out of ideas today... And the ending is lame too :D But the next chapter will be more exciting, I promise... And I'll skip Sunday :---D

A New Direction, chapter 3: Italian
Title: A New Direction
Chapter: 3/?
Pairings: none
Summary: Elisabeth's second day in WMHS! Evelyn picks up on her because of her roots and Mr. Evans give them a week assignment for the next week.
Song/s: Jennifer Lopez - Qué Hiciste
A/N: Finally done! This chapter probably has many mistakes, correct me :p
Chapter 3: Italian
“Have a nice day today”, Kurt said as he stopped his car in front of WMHS and Elisabeth got out of the car. “I will. Bye”, she said and closed the door. Elisabeth walked past some girl groups and for a moment she felt lonely. But then she looked around and saw Mr. Evans and ran to him, remembering he had wanted to talk to her the day before. “Hey, Mr. Evans, you wanted to talk to me yesterday”, Elisabeth said. “Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you about your father”, the blond teacher said. “Kurt or Blaine?” Elisabeth asked. “Both actually. I thought they lived in New York and would never come back. So what’s up?” Mr. Evans questioned. “Well, they divorced, so me and Kurt moved here”, Elisabeth replied. “Wait, you know them?” Mr. Evans nodded. “I’m sorry to hear that. And yes, I know them. We were good friends in high school. We were in the glee club. I heard your surname and that caught my attention.” Elisabeth nodded and then noticed Casimiro waving at her. “Sorry, but I have to go! See you in glee club”, she said and began to walk over to the Latin boy. “Hi”, Casimiro said. Elisabeth greeted him with a smile. They stood there for a while not having anything to talk about. Then a tall boy ran fast towards them. “Casimiro!” he shouted and stopped to pull the shorter boy into a hug. “Hey, you were just sick, go hug poles so I don’t get ill too”, Casimiro said and pushed the other away. “Oh, don’t do that. You’d seem insane.” The tall boy just smiled and Elisabeth stared at the two boys. “It’s Friday. What are you going to do after school?” the boy asked Casimiro. “I’ll study with Nick. We have a chemistry test on Monday, Chase, if you didn’t remember”, the Latin said. Chase seemed surprised. "I had forgotten that!" Casimiro rolled his eyes. "That doesn't surpise me at all." Chase looked embarassed but then saw Elisabeth. "Who are you?" he asked. "I'm Elisabeth Hummel", Elisabeth said and the boy smiled. "I'm Chase Bright. I was ill yesterday, but I heard you joined the glee club." Elisabeth took a small step backwards when Chase sneezed. "Nice to meet you", she said and the tall boy replied: "Same." They all just stood there for a moment and then suddenly the school bell rang.
Elisabeth was sitting next to Casimiro in the maths class. She had been wondering about something that he wanted to ask him but it was quite awkward. "Are you okay?" Casimiro suddenly whispered to her. "You keep on staring blankly at your book." Elisabeth nodded. "Yes... I was just thinking about one thing." Casimiro shrugged. "Alright. But try to focus." Elisabeth didn't reply, but did as the short boy had suggested. She wasn't good at maths, so maybe focusing was the best thing to do.
"Finally maths are done for today, it was torture", Elisabeth said and sighed as she walked out of the classroom with Casimiro. Casimiro nodded. "It's difficult at first." Elisabeth shrugged. Then she looked at the Latin and said: "I can't wait for glee club!" Casimiro just huffed. "I can. Because of Evelyn", he said. Elisabeth nodded. "Is she always like that?" the brown haired girl asked curiously. "Yeah. She doesn't get along with anyone in the club, expect Jillian", Casimiro replied. "I warn you; you're the new girl so she might treat you the worst. What she said yesterday is nothing compared to other things she'll say." Elisabeth's eyes widened. "What does she think of adopted people? I mean people adopted outside of North America?" Casimiro thought about it a minute. "I don't know, I'm not adopted. I'm a Latin, but she hasn't said anything about it. But Evelyn likes to point out that I'm short. Where are you adopted from?" "Italy", Elisabeth said. "One kid in my old school asked me if my biological parents are in mafia. That's why I asked." Casimiro looked like he understood perfectly. "That's... rough", he said. Elisabeth couldn't help but wonder what glee club would be like today.
Later that day they walked into the choir room and as expected, Evelyn said something to Elisabeth. "Hey, italiano, what's up?" Someone might have mistaken that for being nice, but the tone in Evelyn's voice was anything but nice. "I am adopted from Italy, I'm not Italian", Elisabeth said sounding annoyed. "So what? To me you're still Italian", Evelyn spoke. "What is your problem with that, Evelyn?" Alex, the boy who'd be singing Secrets in sectionals, asked. "It doesn't matter! Lorraine is really French, Casimiro comes from Mexico and I remember that your father is German." Evelyn was about to shout at him, but then Mr. Evans walked in and said: "I heard your conversation. Evelyn, Alex is right, it doesn't matter that Elisabeth is adopted from Italy." He went and wrote something on the board. ROOTS. "I have a week assignment for you. Choose a song from the culture that you have your roots on and perform it." Jillian, a tall girl sitting on the back raised her hand and asked: "What about us that have roots here in America?" Mr. Evans smiled. "Then pick an American song or pick any culture you like." Casimiro stood up. "I already have a good song", he said. "Go ahead", Mr. Evans told. "Hit it!" "Ayer los dos soñabamos con un mundo perfecto, ayer a nuestros labios les sobraban las palabras, porque en los ojos nos espiábamos el alma, y la verdad no vacilaba en tu mirada", he started to sing in Spanish. Casimiro's voice was absolutely stunning. Elisabeth had never heard anything like it. "Ayer nos prometimos conquistar el mundo entero, ayer tú me juraste que este Amor sería eterno, porque una vez equivocarse es suficiente, para aprender lo que es amar sinceramente." The others started humming along. There was a little instrumental part before he sang the chorus again. Elisabeth was listening closely, the song was pretty and Casimiro sang it perfectly. She was so lost in her thoughts that she almost forgot to clap her hands when Casimiro stopped the song. "This is exactly what I was talking about", Mr. Evans said. "So, I'm expecting someone to perform on Monday!"
That evening, after studying chemistry, Elisabeth had started to search for good Italian songs but yet she hadn't found any. Laura Pausini? she thought to herself. Then someone knocked on the door of her room. It was Kurt. "What are you doing?" he asked. "I'm searching for an Italian song to sing in glee club", Elisabeth explained. "I want to sing on Monday. Oh! I do remember the chemistry test." Kurt smiled. "Look for the song tomorrow, it's late already. You should go to sleep", he said. "Mmkay. Good night, dad", Elisabeth said and Kurt chuckled, saying: "Good night, Elisabeth."

Chapter 2: New ones
WMHS was smaller than Elisabeth’s old school in New
York. But it was only a nice change. At least there weren’t so much people. She
looked around in the school hall and her sights set on the notice board. There
was a note that said something about a glee club. They needed a new member.
“Perfect”, Elisabeth said to herself. “I have to go and check the club out.”
There were eleven students and one teacher in the
class. Elisabeth hesitated for a moment but then knocked at the door. The
teacher, who was a very good-looking blonde man, turned around and asked: “Can
I help you?” Elisabeth smiled and said: “I’d like to audition for the glee
club.” The teacher came to her. “Awesome! We needed a new member! And oh, I’m
Sam Evans”, he said. Elisabeth was sure she had heard the name somewhere
before. She walked in front of everyone and introduced herself. “My name is
Elisabeth Deangela Hummel.” When Mr. Evans heard her last name, his expression
changed. “I will sing “Brown Eyes” by
Lady Gaga. Can I play the piano?” Mr. Evans nodded and Elisabeth sat on the
bench in front of the piano. She saw a pretty cheerleader rolling her eyes.
Elisabeth didn’t like the way she was looking at her but started the song
anyway. “In your brown eyes, walked away.
In your brown eyes, couldn't stay. In your brown eyes, you watch her go…”,
she sang. “And turn the record on, and wonder what went wrong… What went wrong?” Elisabeth was a little
bit nervous, but why? She had sang so many times in front of an audience. “If everything was everything, but everything
is over. Everything could be everything if only we were older… Guess it's just
a silly song about you and how I lost you and your brown eyes…” The
cheerleader girl had changed her expression, gladly. “Everything was everything but baby it's the last show. Everything could
be everything, but it's time to say goodbye so get your last fix, and your last
hit, grab your old girl with her new tricks”, she sang and the nervousness
faded away. “In your brown eyes. Brown,
brown eyes, your brown eyes. Brown, brown eyes. Got some brown eyes. Brown,
brown eyes, your brown eyes”, she ended the song and the people in the
class clapped their hands, even the cheerleader. Mr. Evans laughed and said: “I
think we all agree! You’re in, Elisabeth!” Elisabeth smiled and jumped up.
“Yes!” Mr. Evans turned to her and said: “I need to talk to you about something
later.” Elisabeth was confused but nodded. She took a seat next to a short
Latin boy who was staring at her. “Isn’t Kurt Hummel your adoptive father?” the
boy asked. Elisabeth nodded and the boy looked amazed. “I’m sorry, I forgot our
set list for sectionals, I have to get it”, Mr. Evans said. “I’ll be back
soon.”
He really came back soon. “So, Elisabeth, we have
sectionals coming in a few weeks. We will practice hard”, he said. “But here’s
our set list: “Chasing Cars”, “Secrets” and “Price Tag”.” The boy who was sitting next to Elisabeth stood up. “I
think that Alex should get the solo in Secrets, his voice is perfect for the
song”, he said and a boy, who probably was this Alex was nodding with a grin. “Just
what I was thinking, Casimiro”, Mr. Evans said. “And then, for Price Tag…” He
thought about it for a while. Elisabeth looked around. Thank God they haven’t
started rehearsing yet, Elisabeth thought. She had just joined, so it would’ve
been very difficult for her to catch up with others. “So, I was thinking of
Lorraine and Elisabeth for it. Or is it too much, Elisabeth? Since you just
came”, said Mr. Evans. Elisabeth blushed as everyone turned to look at her. Getting
a part in a song in sectionals was a honor, because she was the new kid. She
looked around and saw the girl named Lorraine, who was smiling at her and
Elisabeth could read from her lips that she was saying “Go for it!” Okay,
Elisabeth decided. “No, it’s not too much at all. I can do it.” Casimiro, who
was standing next to Mr. Evans, clapped his hands. “That’s awesome!” he
exclaimed. The cheerleader girl from before didn’t look very pleased. She
sighed and said: “Oh come on! She’s new! I don’t think she’d deserve a part.”
Mr. Evans glared at her. “Evelyn, it’s me who decides who gets to sing. And I
don’t care if she’s new, she’s a good singer!” Everyone seemed to agree with
the teacher and Evelyn rolled her eyes and murmured something like “okay”. “Great! We shall start rehearsing now”, Mr.
Evans said.
After school Elisabeth was waiting for Kurt to come
and pick her up. She was super confused because what had happened in the glee
club. Everyone else seemed to be okay with her, but that Evelyn just seemed to
do everything to bring her down. Well, Elisabeth didn’t care at all what one
person thought of her, she was herself and didn’t want to change. Then someone
tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Casimiro. “Oh the short boy”,
Elisabeth said without thinking. Casimiro seemed to be a little bit embarrassed.
Elisabeth realized what she had said and ruffled her brown hair with a sorry
smile. “I’m sorry! I wasn’t thinking straight.” The dark haired boy just laughed
and said: “Don’t worry about it. I just came to say that you totally deserved
the part from that song! Evelyn is just jealous.” Elisabeth huffed. “I can see
that.” Casimiro shrugged. “By the way, I’m Casimiro Rodriguez, since you don’t seem
to remember my name”, he said with a grin. Elisabeth laughed. “Okay, I remember
it now!” Elisabeth really liked this boy. Maybe this was her first friend? “Elisabeth!
I’m here now”, Elisabeth heard Kurt shout. “Oh! My dad is here to pick me up. I
got to go, Casimiro Rodriguez”, she said and left. “Bye, Elisabeth Deangela
Hummel!” Casimiro shouted after her.
“Who was that?” Kurt asked while they were driving
home. Elisabeth smiled as she replied: “Casimiro from glee club. I joined it.”
She looked excited. “Wow, great, I had a fun time when I was in glee club”, her
dad said. “We have sectionals coming and I got a part from a song”, Elisabeth
told and Kurt smiled broadly. “That’s amazing! You’re a new kid and you got a
part!” That brought Evelyn into Elisabeth’s mind. But still, she couldn’t wait
for tomorrow!

Chapter 1: Goodbye, New York
“But you promised you’d never say goodbye to me”,
Blaine said and was almost begging. “That’s what I thought too”, Kurt said
coldly. “But that was before you let me down.” Kurt tried to hold his tears
back. He was unable to believe that he was leaving. Kurt remembered how his
hand had been shaking as he had signed the divorcing papers. It had hurt so
much, but there wasn’t anything else he could’ve done. “Come on Elisabeth, our
flight is leaving soon”, Kurt said and grabbed a young girl by the hand and
left crying Blaine behind.
Elisabeth Deangela Hummel was a 16 years old girl. She
was an adoptive daughter of Blaine Anderson and Kurt Hummel. Her parents had
successful careers- Blaine as a singer/songwriter and Kurt on Broadway.
Elisabeth was popular in her school, and had been a cheerleader until she had
faced something that had changed it. They had been a happy family. But one day
it all changed. Kurt found out that Blaine had cheated on him and wasn’t able
to forgive him. Kurt had gotten the custody of Elisabeth and had decided that
they’d move to Lima- a place, where he could forget Blaine. Elisabeth didn’t
want to leave New York, but she understood that Kurt needed time. And besides, she
was mad at Blaine, for letting Kurt and her down like that. Elisabeth cried a
little as she looked out of the window of the airplane.
Blaine Anderson and messed the things up badly. He had
made a huge mistake and Kurt had left with Elisabeth. Blaine regretted that he
had cheated on Kurt, but what was done, could not be undone. Though if he could
turn back the time, he would’ve just gone home to Kurt and not done what he had
done. Now Blaine was lying alone on the couch in the silence that was slowly
killing him. Nothing, not even singing, could make him feel better. And at the
moment moving on felt impossible.
Elisabeth couldn’t help but smile when she saw Burt
and Carole, her grandparents, on the airport waiting for her and Kurt. Burt
smiled, but Elisabeth knew that he was angry at Blaine at the moment. “Are you
both okay?” Carole asked looking concerned. “No”, Kurt replied and then changed
the subject: “Is Finn coming to visit tonight?” Burt nodded. “Yeah. He is
pretty pissed off, so it’d be better if you didn’t mention that Anderson”, he
said. Elisabeth looked down.. Burt didn’t call Blaine by his first name, which
meant he hated him. “But let’s go home now.”
Finn stormed through the door into the living room
where Kurt and Elisabeth were watching the television. Well, neither of them
was really watching it. “Good to see you two!” Finn said with a smile. Kurt
didn’t say anything and Elisabeth barely even looked at Finn. “It really
brought you down, didn’t it?” the tall man asked and sighed. “What would you
think?” Kurt asked. “I was happy those weeks ago, before that guy called and I found out about Blaine and him.” Elisabeth
wanted to say that had been happy too, but then Quinn, Finn’s wife, stepped
into the room. “I’m sorry about what happened. Must’ve been very hard. since
you even left Broadway”, she said. Kurt didn’t say anything. “…Could we please
change the subject?” Elisabeth asked as she had noticed that her adoptive
father had gotten uncomfortable. Quinn smiled and sat on the couch next to
Elisabeth. “Have you thought of taking up cheerleading now that you’re here?”
Elisabeth shook her head. “No. I can’t, Quinn.” The blond haired woman took her
hand and said: “But you’re very good. And I wouldn’t put you on the top of the
pyramid.” Quinn was the coach of Cheerios in McKinley High School. “Okay. I
will think of it”, Elisabeth promised. Then Carole came into the room. “We need
to cheer up a little! Elisabeth, could you please sing us a song?” she asked. Elisabeth
nodded and walked over to the piano and sat on the little bench. She started
playing it. “Used to dream of being a millionaire, without a care. But
If I’m seeing my dreams and you aren’t there ‘cause it’s over, that just won’t
be fair…”, she sang. ”Darling, rather
be a poor woman living on the street, no food to eat. ‘Cause I don’t want no
pie if I have to cry. ‘Cause it’s over when you said goodbye.” Quinn was
singing along quietly and Burt had come to listen. “All at once, I had it all. But it doesn’t mean anything now that you’re
gone. From above, seems I had it all. But it doesn’t mean anything since you’re
gone…” Elisabeth smiled for a moment. Singing Alicia Keys’ song always made
her feel better. “I know I pushed you
away, what can I do that would save our love? Take these material things, they
don’t mean anything. It’s you that I want.” Rachel Berry had taught her to
sing this song and she was super thankful. “All
at once, I had it all. But it doesn’t mean anything now that you’re gone. From
above, seems I had it all. But it doesn’t mean anything since you’re gone.”
Elisabeth stopped singing and everyone clapped and even Kurt was smiling.
Suddenly Elisabeth was feeling a lot better. And maybe tomorrow, her first day
in WMHS wouldn’t be so bad after all.
